Develop your student’s spelling, writing, reading, and vocabulary skills with Zaner-Bloser’s Spelling Connections. This extensively researched program teaches common spelling patterns and rules so students learn how to recognize and anticipate syllable types and apply those spelling and syllable patterns to new words at each grade level. Then, new words are used in multiple contexts to expand vocabulary, enhance comprehension, and improve writing. Word Sort activities introduce, practice, and enhance pattern understanding. There are three options for word lists (Emerging, On Level, and Challenging) so each child’s list can be adjusted based on their performance on the pre-test that is given at the beginning of each unit. Each unit includes approximately 15 minutes of instruction per day supplemented with work that your child completes independently, along with a post-test at the end of each unit.
